Ella Wease Brock

Ella Wease Brock passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, March 10, 2023, in Wakonda, SD She was 86 years old.  There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Clear Branch Church Cemetery in Florence.

Mrs. Ella Wease was born on June 30, 1936, to the late J. L. Jones and Mattie Jenkins Jones in Choctaw County, Mississippi. She loved babies. She worked the nursery at her church, Church of the Nazerene. She loved to travel. Loved spending summers in SD with her daughter, Janice, and her family. She was a devout Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed crocheting blankets. She was a strong woman who had to be both Mom and Dad when her husband passed away. The glue that held the family together. Mrs. Ella Wease enjoyed yard work and spending time with her friends and family.  She was a wonderful Mother.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Calvin Brock, and siblings, Richard Jones, J. C. Jones, Willis Jones, and Pearl Alderman. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Hodge (Wayne) of Yankton, SD, and Darlene Jordan of Richland; son, Howard Brock of Jackson; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
