Ellie Ann Hodges, 84, went to be with Jesus on February 28, 2015 after a brief illness. She is now joyfully reunited with her husband of 63 years, Dick, in Heaven. She leaves behind sons Richard (Kay) Hodges and Terry (Brenda) Hodges, all of Terry. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She faithfully followed Dick around the world as an Air Force wife and settled in the Metro Jackson area upon his retirement from the service. She served many years as the secretary at West Jackson Baptist Church and she and Dick co-owned the former Western Auto in Terry. She was a Sunday School teacher at Midway Baptist Church and was an active member at First Baptist Church Terry for more than 40 years, where her desserts were legendary at church events. She enjoyed spending her time with her great grandchildren and spent many hours reading with her dog, Suzie, in her lap. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and again on Tuesday from 10 until the 11a.m. Funeral Service at First Baptist Church Terry, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Terry, 209 W. Raymond St., Terry, Mississippi 39170.
