Eloise McMorris

Eloise Decker McMorris passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at her home in Florence, Mississippi, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 96 years old. 

Eloise was born on June 6, 1927, to Denzil Decker and Icie Joel Decker in Shelby, MS. In her youth, she was a gymnast, ran track, and played piano.  After high school, she graduated from Drones Business School.  Eloise met the love of her life Edward Billy McMorris on a blind date and was married within three months.  She loved her family and was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved the Lord and was a devoted member of the MacRaven Road Church of Christ. 

Eloise is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Denzil “Buster” Decker, husband Edward Billy McMorris, grandson Bradley Edward McMorris, great-grandaugher Brianna Claire Richards.  She is survived by her Brother Carlton Ricky Decker (Kathy) of Opelika, AL, six children Michael Edward McMorris (Donna) of MO, Hollis Glynn McMorris of Clinton, MS, William “Bill” Carlton McMorris (Carol) of Florence, MS, Melissa Diane Ainsworth (Gary) of Clinton, MS, Mark Bradley McMorris (Samarra) of Clinton MS, and Robert Wesley McMorris (Carla) of Calhoun, GA. Twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
