Mr Elton "Dude" Lewis

Elton "Dude" Lewis, 88 passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at his home in Terry. Visitation will be 12noon until the 2pm funeral service on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. Lewis was born in Simpson County, MS to the late Joe & Perneicy Lewis. He was a retired road crew worker for Hinds County and had lived in the Terry area for the past 50 years. He loved dog shows and enjoyed making custom frames for his wife Patricia’s paintings. Mr. Lewis was a member of Parkside Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Lewis and his brother Shelby L. Lewis. Survivors include his daughter Vada (Gene) Gipson of Terry; sister, Lola Whittington of Brandon; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
