Mr. Emmette Blakely

Mr. Emmett Blakely, 88, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. The family will hold a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 16th at Shiloh Baptist Church in Winona, MS at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Blakely was born December 21, 1930 in Sweatman, MS to the late James V. and Goldie Marie Bennett Blakely. He has lived in Brandon for over 30 years where he was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church in Rankin County. He retired from the United States Army after 21 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and beekeeping. Mr. Blakely is survived by his wife, Louise Blakely of Brandon; daughters, Marie Parker of Birmingham, AL and Linda Corserino of South Carolina; granddaughters, Rena Britt and Candice Pilgrim; grandsons, Robert Carserino, Nicholas Carserino, Elijah Rowell, Abram Rowell, Colt Rowell, and Tucker Rowell; great grandchildren, Hunter Herrington and Carson Pilgrim; and great great grandson, Landon Herrington.
