Mr. Ernest "Ernie" Henry Clements

Ernest “Ernie” Henry Clements, 57, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home in Utica. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Faith Baptist Church in Utica. Visitation will be 10am-11am Saturday at the church. Rev. Gary Lawson will officiate. Mr. Clements was born in Jackson, MS to John Wesley Clements and Lena Genevieve Fortner Clements. He lived all his life in Hinds County where he was a welder in the construction industry. Mr. Clements was an avid cook who loved to read his Bible, enjoyed the outdoors, loved his family and dogs and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Utica. He is preceded in death by his sister, Kay Clements Brown. Survivors include his daughter, Benai Clements of Grovetown, GA; step-son, Jonathan Hopkins of N. Augusta, SC; sisters, Peggy Bickel of Utica, Mellany Kitchens (Larry) of Flora and Faye Arthur of Prattville, AL; grandson, William Wallace.
