Ester Allen Mann

Ester Allen Mann went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 25, 2023, at her home in Terry, MS surrounded by her family at the age of 75. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS and then again on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. hour of service at Fellowship Baptist Church in Houston, MS. The graveside service will immediately follow at Enon Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Houston, MS.

Ester was born on October 22, 1948, at her family’s home in Houston, MS to W.M. Allen Jr. and Hortense Nichols Allen. She met the love of her life and husband of 52 years Colvin Douglas Mann in 1971. They soon moved to Terry, MS where they would start and raise a family built on Faith in God and Love. Ester was blessed with a son; Merritt Mann to whom she spent her days being a mother and homemaker, always being present for her family and her son. Ester was a devoted follower of Christ, her and Mr. Colvin where members at Daysprings Church in Clinton, MS where they attended in person until her decline in health.  Ester was a God first and then family type of lady. She was a Prolife advocate, in which she spent 30 plus years fighting to preserve the lives of innocent children. Ester loved her family; especially her 5 grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Ester had a servant’s heart and to know her was to love her, she will be deeply missed.

Ester is preceded in death by her father, W.M. Allen Jr. She is survived by her mother, Hortense Allen of Houston, MS; Devoted husband of 52 years, Colvin Mann of Terry, MS; son, Merritt Mann of Terry, MS; sister, Judy Harrison of Houston, MS; brothers, Ricky and wife Carrol Allen of Houston, MS and Keith and wife Rhonda Allen of Houston, MS; and last but certainly not least, her 5 beloved grandchildren, Koty Davis, Hannah, Noah, Jacob, and Gabriele Mann.
