Ethel Mccarty

Mrs. Ethel Williams McCarty, 78, passed into eternity at River Oaks-Crossgates, Monday, September 15, 2008. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be Friday at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery at 3 p.m. in Choctaw County, MS.\ \ Mrs. McCarty was an active member of Star Baptist Church. She graduated and was valedictorian of her class at Minter City High School.\ \ She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. McCarty.\ \ She is survived by her brother, Bill Williams and wife, Ann of Star; nephews: Ray Williams and Stephen Williams; niece, Kay Brewer.\ \ In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to Star Baptist Church, PO Box 69, Star, MS 39167.\
