Evelyn Keen

\ Evelyn Rice Keen, 78 died at her residence Friday October 24, 2008. Visitation will be 2 until 5pm Sunday, October 26 and 12:30-1:30pm Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside Services will be at 2:00pm at Terry Cemetery.\ Evelyn was born in Hinds County a daughter of the late Henry and Annie Walker Rice. She formerly owned and operated Sudie's Catfish House in Crystal Springs and Pasadena, TX. She loved to read. Evelyn lived with her sister and brother-in-law Henrietta and Gary Martin for twenty years. \ She is survived by daughter Peggy Wright of Palm Springs, CA. Sister and brother-in-law Henrietta and Gary Martin of LaPorte, TX. Granddaughter Jennifer Carson of Sacramento, CA. Great-grandchildren Morgan, Alex and J.R.. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Keen. \
