Mrs. Evelyn Patrick

Evelyn Shoemaker Holmes Patrick has passed away from this earth and into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Evelyn passed June 6, 2015 while at her home in Byram. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 5pm until 7pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS and Wednesday, June 10th from 10am until the 11am Funeral Service at Country Woods Baptist Church in Byram, MS. Evelyn was the daughter of N.R. and Vida (Nichols) Shoemaker of Simpson County. She married Richard B. Holmes in 1958 and that marriage produced two children, David Carl Holmes (Jacqui) of Madison and Dianne Richelle Burgess of Gulf Breeze, FL. Following Richards death in 1992, she married Jerrell L. Patrick in 1998 and they made their home in Byram. Evelyn is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren, Chad and Maggie Holmes and Kelsi Burgess Colon; her sister, Marilyn McGehee (Ben), along with nieces Tracy Ashworth (Forest), Kim Holmon (Phillip) and nephew Mike McGehee. Evelyn was a long time member of Country Woods Baptist Church and a member of the Jackson Central High School Class of 1955.
