Faye Turner White, 81, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 22, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, March 26, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Saturday, March 27, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with a 1 hour visitation prior to service. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.\ \ Mrs. White was a native of McCool, MS, born on March 15, 1929 to Victor and Nora Turner. She was a graduate of French Camp Academy where she excelled in basketball, then attended Draughon's Business School. After some working years she became a home-maker to take care of Jeff and Valerie and spent many years as a wedding consultant in the Jackson area. Mrs. White loved the outdoors—camping, hunting, and bass fishing and was a member of a bridge club and bowling team. She was very creative, loving sewing and floral arranging and was an avid square dancer along with her husband. Mrs. White was a member of Alta Woods Baptist Church for approximately 40 years remaining active until she became a victim of Alzheimers.\ \ She is preceded in death by her parents Victor, Sr. and Nora Turner and brother Victor, Jr. of Greenville, MS.\ \ Survivors include her husband of 61 years William "Bill" White; son Jeff White and wife Cindy and grandson Zachary White of Land O'Lakes, FL; daughter Valerie White of Jackson;; 4 nieces, Vickie Cawthon, Brenda Vance, Wanda Rounsaville, Linda Burgess and their families; sister-in-laws Edith Burney of Clinton, MS, Elsie Smart of Capitol Heights, MD and Kathryn Turner of Oxford, MS\
