Rev. Ferdinand Schexnayder, 85, of Raymond, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 8, 2019 surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 10 am until the 12 pm service at First Pentecostal Church, Jackson, MS. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Rev. Schexnayder was born July 22, 1934, in Bayou Rouge, La to the late Moise and Lucille Boudreaux Schexnayder. He lived in Raymond for the past 19 years. He was a Minister of the gospel for over 50 years, pastoring First Pentecostal Church in Hattiesburg for 6 ½ years and First Pentecostal Church in Kosciusko for 30 years. He loved playing guitar, hunting fishing and collecting antiques. Those preceding him in death include his parents, son, Kevin Schexnayder; sisters, Natalie Duvall, Nita Billedeau, Vera Lee Vining; brothers Moise Jr., Chester, Huey and Willie Lee Schexnayder. His survivors include wife, Judy Munson Schexnayder of Raymond, Ms; sons, Bruce (Linda) Schexnayder, Mark Schexnayder both of Raymond, MS; daughter –in –law, Donna Hicks Schexnayder of Broken Arrow, OK; 5 grandchildren; Rev. Nik (Summer) Schexnayder of San Diego, CA, Jeremy Schexnayder of Carthage, Ms, Andrea (Anthony) Pennington of Thomastown, MS, Nathan Schexnayder of Tulsa, OK, Dustan (Kailey) Schexnayder of Broken Arrow, OK; 11 great grandchildren and sister, Melba Leger of Palmetto, La
