Fletcher Marion Miller; a beloved son, husband, and father was born January 12, 1912 to John Fletcher Miller and Kistla Turner Miller, the youngest of four children. He married Martha Vivian Barron and they were devotedly married 72 years before she passed away January 18, 2009. His only wish and prayer was to live one day longer than his wife so that he could care for her during her illness. His prayers were answered; he passed away peacefully on July 28th.\ \ He was a member of Marvin United Methodist church all of his life. His grandfather was a charter member of Marvin. He served on various committees throughout his life.\ \ He worked hard all of his life and credits his long life of 97 years to his work ethic. His life accomplishments include being in the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps); owned and operated a saw mill (he milled all the lumber for the house he built and lived in for 71 years), ran a dairy, farmed; raised cotton and soybeans. He worked for Mr. Dewey Camp for approximately 10 years building the lakes and golf courses at Cleary Lake.\ \ His family was his life and he will be greatly missed but leaves a legacy to be proud of. He was fondly called "Pop" by his Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and all of their friends. He leaves behind a son, Thomas Fletcher Miller, his wife, Beth; a daughter, Ann Miller Perry; four grandchildren: Emerson Perry, his wife, Grace; Elisa Perry Mosal, her husband Dave; Laurie Perry Parker, her husband, Brandon; Marc Miller, his wife Brittany; and five great grandchildren: Anna Payton Parker, Brandon Hal Parker, David Alexander (Tripp) Mosal, III, Barron Miller Mosal, and Emma Fletcher Perry; a sister-in-law, Rosalyn Barron Stewart, her husband, Allen; sister-in-law, Belle Barron; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.\ \ He is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Barron Miller, parents, John Fletcher Miller and Kistla Turner Miller, grandson, Ben Miller; son-in-law, O.E. Perry; sisters, Mary Miller Walter, Louise Miller Speights, and brother, Carroll Turner Miller.\ \ Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2009 beginning at 10 a.m. followed by services at 12 at Chancellor's Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Florence Cemetery.\
