Mr. Floyd Jones Latham

Floyd Latham, 65, of Florence, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at his home. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 1 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm and 1:00pm until the 2:00pm funeral service on Monday, March 2 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories. A native of Scott County, Mr. Latham had lived in Florence for the last 17 years, moving from South Jackson. Always hard working, he was a professional sheet rock finisher. When not working he was carving out a home and farm for his family. He loved being out doors including hunting and fishing. Mr. Latham is survived by his wife Mavis Latham of Florence; son Kenneth (Renee) Latham of Florence; Daughter Glenda (Mike) Smith of Florence; His mother Lucille Latham of Morton; Brothers Sammy Latham of Louisiana and Ezell “Bud” Latham of Canton; Sisters Janie (Billy Wayne) Lott of Forest and Dorothy Latham of Puckett; 3 Granddaughters Nicole Ainsworth, Hope Smith, and Kayla Stickman; and 4 Great Grandchildren.
