Mrs. Frances Gail Bateman

Frances Gail Bateman, 53, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at her home in Florence. The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date. Frances was born October 5, 1966 in Panama City, Florida to Hugh and Susan Neel. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence and she worked for several years as a house painter. Frances was a great wife and mother to, not only her children, but to many other children. She loved kids and was even a volunteer Girl Scout Leader. She was very generous and would help anybody she could. Frances was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Susan and Jerry Palmer; and by her sister, Kathy Wilborn. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Bateman, Jr. of Florence; sons, Timothy Austin Bateman and Jessie Christopher Bateman, both of Florence; daughter, Holly Anna Bateman of Florence; brothers, Lloyd Terry of Vicksburg and Ben Eldridge of Braxton; and sister, Jean Nixon of Harrisville.
