Frances Blackwell

Frances Anne Blackwell, 72, died at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson on Thursday, February 03, 2011. Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Wesleyanna Cemetery in Star on Saturday, February 5, 2011.\ \ Born in Rankin County to the late Thomas and Genie Ainsworth, Mrs. Blackwell was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She volunteered as a Booster for Rankin Academy and was a Fire Department Auxiliary Member. She was also an avid gardener.\ \ Preceded in death by her husband Cecil C. Blackwell 4 years ago, Mrs. Blackwell is survived by her son, Sonny (Sandy) Blackwell of Brandon; two brothers, Allen Ainsworth of Star and Monroe Ainsworth of Collins; and one grandchild, Sydney Blackwell of Star.\ \ In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Star Volunteer Fire Department.\
