Frances Haley Cockrell, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at her home in Terry. Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, December 13th at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. Services will be 11am Friday, December 14th in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery in Terry.\ \ Mrs. Cockrell was a 1957 graduate of Central High School and attended Hinds Community College, and married Gene A. Cockrell on August 30, 1957. She had lived in Terry for the past 25 years, was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church of Byram. She was owner/operator of the Bicycle Center in Jackson, MS. for 17 years and in her younger years, served as a volunteer at Mississippi Methodist Rehabilitation Center and was a Special Conservation Deputy for King's Point Island. Mrs. Cockrell was a loving mother who enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles, camping, RVing and spending time with her grandchildren.\ \ Survivors include her husband, Gene Cockrell of Terry; son, Gene "Allen" Cockrell, Jr. (Paige) of Madison; daughters, Christi Turnage (Kerry) of Madison and Sandy Cockrell Tijerina (John) of Brandon; brother, William Robley Haley (Irene) of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Christopher, Hailey, Joseph, Joshua, John Parker, Nate, and Dillion.\ \ On line guest book available at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\
