Frances "GiGi" Claire Ivers

Frances “GiGi” Claire Ivers, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 7, 2014. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS and Tuesday at 9am until the 10am service at First Baptist Church of Terry, MS. Burial will follow at Terry Cemetery, Terry, MS. GiGi was a member of First Baptist Church of Terry. She retired from Department of Human Services. She served as a past president of the DHS Retirees Luncheon Club, DHS Clerical Conference, and Terry Garden Club. GiGi worked in the nursery at the First Baptist Church of Terry for many years and was also a member of the “39ers.” She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Nancy Ransom. She is survived by three children; Brenda (Tim) Ward of Randleman, NC, Beverly Ivers of Terry, and Barry (Leslie) Ivers of Terry, MS; sister, Edwina Stringer of Long Beach; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the children’s program at First Baptist Church of Terry, 209 W. Raymond St., Terry, MS 39170.
