Mrs. Frances Boyd Jones

Mrs. Frances Boyd Jones, 88, of Mendenhall, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8th at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Mrs. Jones was born in New Albany, MS to Roy and Edith Boyd. She moved to Mendenhall 12 years ago to live with her daughter. She was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church. She loved to color, sew and tend to her flowers. Along with her parents, Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her husband, Odell Wayne Jones. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Logan of Mendenhall, Judy Robinson of Ripley, Betty Jones of Gulfport, and Jerry Stevens of Mendenhall; her son-in-law, Henry Logan, whom she loved as if he were her own son; 30 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; and 6 great great great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
