Frank “Jessie” James, Jr., 89, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at his home in Raymond. Visitation will be 5-7pm Wednesday, April 17 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Thursday, April 18, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. James was a native of Jackson, MS, serving in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He lived all his life in Hinds County, working for Illinois Central Railroad for 38 years and was co-owner of DeForest Wood Preserving Company in Bolton, MS. Mr. James was a member of Retired Railroad Coffee Club and an avid gardener. His family and his Church were his life. Survivors include his wife of 58 ½ years Jewel James of Raymond; sons Frank D. James III of Jackson and Don (Roxanne) James of Morton; daughters Rhonda (Sammy) McGraw of Byram, Dixie Odom of Richland and Leslie Wallace of Byram; grandchildren Jeremiah Johnson, Leah Rigney, Josh James, Tom Odom, Adam Wallace, Justin Wallace and Lindsey Wallace; great grandchildren Rachael & Ian Johnson.
