Frank Burnell Lewis

Mr. Frank Burnell Lewis, 81, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital.\ \ Visitation will be 5-8pm Monday, November 17, 2008 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with funeral services 11am Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Lakewood South with Masonic rites.\ \ A native of Harrisville, Mr. Lewis had moved to Hazlehurst in 2001 after living in south Jackson since 1951. He was a retired firefighter with the City of Jackson and had worked on the security forces of Hinds General Hospital, River Oaks Hospital and Safe Security for 22 years. Mr. Lewis was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and was a 32 degree Mason with Leavell Woods Lodge # 620. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Hazlehurst and was an ordained deacon.\ \ Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Lewis and his daughter, Dinah Gilbert.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Naomi Lewis, of Hazlehurst; his daughter, Janet Newell of Harrisville;...
