Freddie Overby

Freddie Michael Overby, 62, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence from 5-8pm and Wednesday from 10 am until the 11 am service in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mountain Creek Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Overby was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. He was a retired Conservation Officer with Mississippi Wildlife Parks and Fisheries where he worked for 34 years. He was very active in teaching many hunter safety courses. He was a Mason, he loved to sing Gospel music, and he loved his family and his dogs and cats. He was an avid deer hunter and sportsman who loved to cook.
