Gary Gene Belk, 93 years of age, passed away June 2, 2024.  He was born in Neshoba County on July 1, 1930 to Ben Belk and Mary Elizabeth Livingston Belk.  He attended Neshoba County schools.  He moved to Jackson in 1948.  

Gary was a man of many talents and was well known as an excellent mechanic.  He served in the United States Army until 1954.  After his service to the Army he began working for Swift and Company.  He worked there for many years and worked for Pettibone Corporate and retired from there.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents; as well as his wife, Dollie Stewart Belk; a daughter, Tammy Belk Morrison; and son, Randy Belk and his wife, Debra. He was the last of his siblings when he passed.

Gary is survived by, grandsons, Dustin Cutrer (Maggie) and their two children, Isabella and Frankie Cutrer; and James Morrison (Lindsey) and their children, Ellery, Mary Michael, Henry, and Mills Morrison and granddaughter, Summer Clark (Joe) and their daughter, Merritt Clark. He leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews as well.  

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 5, from 1 pm until the start of the Funeral Service at 2 pm.  He will be interred at Lakewood South Memorial Park.
