Gary Overstreet

Mr. Gary Lane Overstreet, 53, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2 - 6 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Monday, 9-10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Florence prior to the 10 a.m. service at the church. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Richland.\ \ Mr. Overstreet worked at Miskelly Furniture and was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence. He was on the Cleary Heights Board of Directors. He was a member of the Campbell Creek Hunting Club. He loved anything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, softball, and grilling. He spent every minute of his life with his family and with the church. He will be dearly missed by everyone.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Lyn Gray Overstreet of Florence; daughters: Courtney (John) Ward, Lauren (Michael) Graves, Olivia (Ethan) Overstreet and step-daughter, Alishia (Wil) Sexton; step-son, Russell J. (Ashley) Bates; parents, John H. Overstreet and Bernie Overstreet; brother, Greg (Dolores)Overstreet ; sister, Valerie Jamison; Grandchildren: Sarah Beth Graves, Kaylee Graves, Owen Graves, Alleigh Ward, Mark Ward, Caden Sexton and Joshua Sexton\
