Geneva Tucker

Geneva Marie Yarberry Tucker, 76, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with interment in Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Monday and 9:00-10:30 AM Tuesday, at the funeral home.\ \ Mrs. Tucker was born January 17, 1936 in Little Rock, AR to the late Alton (Pete) and Mary Katherine Jones Yarberry, moving to Mississippi in 1970 where she would live the rest of her life. After arriving in Mississippi, she worked for the VA Medical Center for 27 years. Mrs. Tucker loved the Lord, her family, fishing, and playing guitar music. \ \ Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy F. Tucker; and by her sisters, Ocie Lee Yarberry Crouch and Geraldine Yarberry Martin . She is survived by her son, Billy F. Tucker II of Florence; daughter, Marie M. Dail of Morton; niece, Belinda K. Lloyd of Southaven; and grandchildren, Joe W. Lacey II, Michael Lacey, Mikaela Harris, Ashleigh Tucker, and Blake Tucker. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.\ \
