Ms. Gennie Butler

Genyth Rochelle Butler, 55, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Mississippi. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11:30am to 1:30pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, Mississippi. A graveside will follow at 2:00pm at Terry Cemetery in Terry, Mississippi. Gennie was a former longtime resident of Terry. She graduated from Clarkdale High School in Meridian, MS and received and Associates Degree from Hinds Community College. She retired from Fox Everett in Ridgeland. She loved animals and will be remembered as a loving daughter and mother. She was preceded in death by her father Roy E. Posey. She is survived by mother, Laurene Bankston of Arkansas; step-mother, Joyce Posey Montgomery; father of her children, Mark Butler of Brandon; daughters, Rachelle Butler of Jackson and Holly (Eric) Massey of Brandon; step-son, Ben (Susan) Causey; brother, Duane Burcham; sister Lakeisha Jackson; and grandchildren, Tyler and Lexi.
