George Reed

George Reed, 79, passed away Thursday Oct. 13, 2011 of lung cancer at his home. Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 16 4:00-7:00 pm with the funeral Monday at 2:00 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. He will be laid to rest at Richland Cemetery.\ \ He was a Mason and Shriner for 51 years. He attended Richland United Methodist Church.\ \ He is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. \ \ He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by Grace, his wife of 62 years; daughters Billie Mire (Pat) of Clinton, MS, Betty Reed of Plano, TX, Brenda Sansing (John) of Florence, MS; sister Ida Bea Henry of Grenada, MS, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
