George “Bud” Yonko, Jr., 72, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 am until the 10am funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Bud moved to this area 45 years ago coming from Chicago, IL and was a member of Pearl Presbyterian Church. His loved ones remember him as a devoted husband and a loving father. He made family a priority to him and was a great listener. He was a retired from the restaurant industry and enjoyed trains and bird watching. Bud was preceded in death by his father, George and his mothers, Virginia and Jessie Yonko; wife, Polly Ann Yonko; and his son, Ronald Gene Lusk. He is survived by his son, James (Kathy) Lusk of Jackson; daughters, Dana (Todd) Shearer of Brandon, Melissa D. Jackson of Richland, and Ann Lusk of Pearl; brother, Jerry (Marie) Yonko of Brandon; sisters, Bobbie Bourne of Bend, OR, Phyllis (Tom) Wheeler of Americus, GA, and Nancy (Jeff) Yonko of Murfreesboro, TN; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons.
