Mr. Gerry Shows

Gerry W. Shows, 61, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at his home in Florence. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, August 19th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A Graveside service will follow at 11:15 a.m. at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland. Mr. Shows was born November 25, 1957 to Everette Lafayette and Betty Kuhn Shows. He grew up in Crystal Springs and attended Copiah Academy. He was a very skilled diesel mechanic, employed at several companies during his career. Most recently with L.E. Tucker Trucking. He enjoyed his work and made work a fun place to be. He loved his family and loved fishing. Gerry is preceded in death by parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Farmer Shows; son, Jerry Wade Shows (Tanya); daughter, Laura Elizabeth Shows (Mike); brother, Rusty Shows, three grandchildren, Annalyce Clark, Blaze Clark, and Summer Shows; and many other family members and a host of friends.
