Gloria “June” Jennings Macoy passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at her home in Harrisville. She was 80 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, November 10th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 11th at 11:00 a.m. at New Covenant Church in Harrisville with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Harrisville Cemetery. June was born March 8, 1941 in Harrisville, MS to the late Rommie and Mary Jennings in Harrisville, MS where she lived her whole life and was a member of Harrisville Baptist Church. She loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved animals and took in many orphaned animals. She enjoyed going fishing and loved her cows and horses. She also loved her faithful companion “Bouncer” Along with her parents, Mrs. Macoy is also preceded in death by her husband, John Macoy; son, Travis Macoy; grandsons, Justin and Jason Beard and Christopher Rutland; sisters, May Paulette Mullins and Joannie Elizabeth Macoy; and brother, Dee Gordon Jennings. She is survived by her children, Jeannie (Jeff) Knight of Harrisville, James Marvin “Jimbo” (Laurie) Macoy of Florence, Rommie Franklin “Mickey” (Susan) Macoy of Florence, Mary Elizabeth Pierce of Harrisville, and John Allen (Sarah) Macoy of Florence; brother, Rommie W. “Buddy” (Janis) Jennings of Richland; grandchildren, Jeff ,Tobie and Amanda, Nathan, Stephen and Zachery, Crystal, Matt, Stephanie and Cody, Dianne, Micah, John Russell, Titus, Grace, Selah, Levi, Ruth and Amos, and Faith; 25 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, David Macoy and Alton Macoy; sisters-in-law, Pat Shaeffer and Joan Macoy; aunts, Martha Caulkins and Jimmy Simon; as well as many nieces, nephews and many extended family members.
