Mrs. Grace Pearl Reed

Grace Pearl Reed, 84, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at her home in Florence. Visitation will be Monday, September 26th from 5-8pm and Tuesday, September 27th from 10am until the 11am Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Richland City Cemetery. Mrs. Reed was raised in Thomastown, MS before moving to Florence two years ago. She loved cooking, cleaning, dancing, working her word search puzzles, and playing with her grandchildren.She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Florence. Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, George Reed; parents; great grandson, Michael Ray Browning; sister, Beatrice Phillips; and brothers, Bernest Peavey and Ernest Peavey. She is survived by her children: Billie Mire (Pat), Betty Reed, and Brenda Sansing (John); sisters: Jeanette Neely and Ruth Peavey; grandchildren: Pat "Tookie" Mire, Jr., Georgette Poeppelmeier, Kisha Squires, and Cory Squires; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members.
