Mr. Gray Patrick "Pat" Dotson

March 5, 1934 — July 7, 2015

Gray Patrick Dotson, a native of Johns, Mississippi and resident of Crystal Springs, passed away on July 7, 2015. He was 81. After graduating from Puckett High School, Pat began twenty-five years of service to his country in the U.S. Air Force. Retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant, he went on to enjoy a civilian career with Lampton-Love Gas Company, after which he retired to his much-loved land in Copiah County. Always active, he eagerly embraced all facets of country life, from working the land to tending the vegetable gardens. Pat is preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and a son, Gregory Patrick Dotson. He is survived by three sisters, Marilyn Newman, Martha Fairley, and Cheryl Hannon; his son Gray Michael Dotson; his daughters Dede Dotson, Suzanne Dotson, and Patti Dotson; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram on Friday from 5-8pm. The funeral will be at Chancellor Funeral Home on Saturday at 10am followed by a military burial at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Jackson.
