Herman Doyle Fillingane, 87, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. According to his wishes, there will be a private interment in McLaurin, MS on Saturday August 2, 2014. Mr. Fillingane was born in McLaurin, MS and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII. He had worked at Dockery Butane, Gordons Transport, owned Fillingane Pest Control and retired from the U.S. Post Office as a driving instructor. He is preceded in death by his wife Jimmie Weeks Fillingane. Survivors include his son Herman R. Fillingane of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters Cynthia F. Woosley of Brandon and Connie F. Robinson (David) of Clinton; grandchildren Steve Robinson (Anna), Aaron Robinson (Angela), Whitney Herman (Ben), Scott Myers (Lacey) and Greg Fillingane (Pam); nine great grandchildren, Kayla, Ethan, Reed, Abbey, Landon, Alexandra, Dylan, Alyssa and Natalie; sisters Dianne Puckett (Kendall) of Powder Springs, GA and Barbara Bowering of FL and many nieces and nephews.
