Harold Parks (66 yrs old) passed peacefully in his sleep at home (Canton, MS) and woke up in Heaven March 8, 2025. He was the husband of Theresa Parks; they shared 33 years together. Between them, they shared 3 kids and 10 grandkids.
Harold and Theresa (Herbalife Distributors) owned nutrition clubs in Clinton. Through the business, they made a lot of friends and family. This business afforded them the ability to give back to others.
There was only one Harold, Big H, The Guy, Big Papaw, our Daddy. You never had a friend so loyal as him; a rare friend to find. He touched so many people’s lives in more ways than many of us knew. No matter what time of day or what he was doing, he would drop what he was doing to help you. He was the most helpful person.
You always knew he was around because of his big booming voice and laughter. He loved to joke and pick on people. He was hard headed and stubborn and thoughtful and generous. He spoke his mind. He was very set in his way, opinionated and was going to let you know what he thought. Usually it was out of love. Known for saying, "Look I'm going to hurt your feelings but it's because I care about you and love you.”
He taught the grandkids how to try to problem-solve and find solutions through life lessons and how to fix things. He showed his love to his family and took the time for his grandkids. They spent a lot of time playing games, being outside and going on adventures. He was a hero to them.
He leaves behind quite a legacy and he would want us to live a life in service to others.
Preceded in death by his mother (Doris Louise Parks), father (George Curtis Parks), grandmother (Vera Margaret Ryan), grandfather (Audie Ryan), father-in-law (Ed Hayman), niece (Selena Nanney).
Survived by his wife, Theresa and their children: Rachael Caldwell (James), David Chad Parks (Cassie), Cindy Broome (Josh). He has 10 grandchildren: Alex, Shelby, Charity, Zara, Andrew, Jacob, Nathanael, Lina, Dylan and William. His loving mother-in-law Carla Hayman. His siblings: James Ray (JR) Nanney, Vera Parks Allred, Scott Hayman, Jerry Hayman, Angelia Jones (Don); from them many nieces and nephews. And many friends.
In lieu of flowers, please pay it forward like Harold and give towards a charity or missions in his name.
