Harriet Griffith

Harriet Stickles Griffith, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Visitation will be 10am until the 11am funeral service Monday, June 20, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Griffith was born in Bowling Green, KY on February 27, 1919 to Arnold and Laura Chambers Stickles. Coming from Louisville, KY, Mrs. Griffith had lived in Jackson since 1964. She was the oldest living member of the Daughters of American Revolution in KY and member of Alta Woods Presbyterian Church in Jackson.\ \ Survivors include her son Jim Griffith of McCalla, Al; daughters Harriet Roberts of Hebron, KY and Laura Youngblood of Jacksonville, FL; brother James Stickles of Bowling Green,KY; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.\ \ Memorials may be made to CARA in Clinton, MS.
