Hazel Marie Bright, 64, grew up in Simpson County, but lived most of her life in Jackson. Hazel passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Jackson, MS on Friday, September 1, 2017. Visitation will be Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 5-8 PM and Monday September 4, 2017 from 10 AM until the 11 AM service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at the Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee. Hazel was born on April 30,1953 in Magee, MS to Ruben Sylvester and Edna Mae Craft. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Bright. Hazel was one of thirteen brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by Gracie Craft, Dean Willis, Margarette Ferguson, Junior Craft, Betty Walker, John Craft. Hazel Bright is survived by W.C. Craft, L.B. Craft, Gean Ferguson, Mayzell Price, Ann Lee, Myrtle Morris, Chris, Robyn, Riley, and Ryder Craft. Hazel Bright learned to cook southern style comfort food from her mother. Throughout her life, she loved cooking for family and working in her garden. Hazel always made time for her grandsons and made family and friends feel welcome. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
