Mrs. Hazel Hilbun Danielson

Mrs. Hazel Hilbun Danielson, 100, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at her home in Florence. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19th from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service at First Baptist Church in Florence. Burial will follow at Florence City Cemetery. Born in Sumrall, MS, Mrs. Danielson went to high school in Philadelphia where she met and married the love of her life, Mr. Carl Danielson. They moved to Jackson and later to Florence in the 70’s where she has been a Faithful member of First Baptist Church of Florence since. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and music. She was the epitome of Southern hospitality, quick witted, smart, and loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Danielson is preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; her husband of 75 years, Mr. Carl Edward Danielson, Sr; and her son, Carl Edward Danielson, Jr. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Danielson of Florence; one grandchild, Sharon Fargo (Geoff); two great-grandchildren, Graham and Miranda; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Ora Belle Williams who was her devoted sitter and friend.
