Mrs. Helen Francis Dennis

Helen Francis Dennis, 54, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Sunday, October 30th from 2:00-5:00 PM and Monday, October 31st from 12:00 PM to the 1:00 PM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Brandon. Helen was born in Tuscaloosa, AL to Michael and Mary Murphree. She was raised in Jackson before moving to Brandon where she attended Crossgates Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, was an avid coffee drinker and a devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan “ROLL TIDE”. She also loved her two dogs, Odie and Nubber. Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Murphree. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jerry Dennis of Brandon; father, Michael Murphree of Jackson; son, Greg (Kelly) Dennis of Brandon; daughter, Jessica Dennis of Canton; grandchildren, Brad Dennis, Aubree Dennis and Avery Dennis; sisters, Sharon (Mike) Little of Atlanta, GA and Susan Miley of Memphis, TN; brothers, Mike (Ginger) Murphree of Ridgeland, Henry (Debbie) Murphree of Richmond, VA, and Shawn Murphree of Florence; and half-brothers, Daniel Murphree, Dennis Murphree and Derek Murphree all of Jackson.
