Mrs. Helen "Carolyn" Freeman

Helen Carolyn Freeman,71 , died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson Visitation will be 5-7pm Friday, April 1, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Franklin Baptist Church in Flora, MS with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Freeman was born in Conehatta, MS to the late Melton and Ava (Hamilton) Tatum. She was a longtime resident of the Smith Community and member of Franklin Baptist Church in Flora. Mrs. Freeman retired from MS Valley Tile Insurance as Vice-President after 43 years of loyal service. She was a hard working lady and always put others before herself. The joy and love of her life were her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 32 years Raymond Freeman. Survivors include her son Chris Freeman (Tracy) of Flora; daughter Kellie Freeman Calhoun of Florence; sister Dot Richardson of OK; grandchildren Tatum Freeman, Mallory Freeman, Ray Freeman, Kaci Calhoun, Shelby Calhoun and Chase Calhoun and longtime best friend Barbara Hines of Brandon.
