Mrs. Helen Marie Graham

Helen Marie Graham, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be from 5:00—7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with the funeral service to follow on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Due to the current pandemic, masks are required and the funeral home will have a maximum capacity of fifty people at a time. There will also be a graveside service at 1:00 pm. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Good Hope Cemetery in Philadelphia, MS. A Jackson resident for most of her life, Mrs. Graham was born to Thad Graham and Marie Gates Graham on June 30, 1930 in Holcomb, MS. She was a retired surgical technician and had also been employed at the Sun & Sand Hotel as a PBX operator. She was a member of Alta Woods Baptist Church. In her spare time, she loved sewing, reading, and having garage sales. Helen was outgoing and always wanted to help everyone. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Dorothy “Jeanette” Labasky and sister, Noma Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Carey Moore of Pearl; aunt, Laveen Gates of Texas; and cousin, Vivian Hamilton of Philadelphia, MS.
