Helen Marie Rogers Wilson passed away in Russellville, Arkansas, on March 23, 2015. She was born in Louisiana on April 3, 1932. She was married to Gerald (“Jabby”) David Wilson for 52 years, until his death in 2002. They pastored churches in Louisiana and then finally for 25 ½ years at Southside Assembly of God in Jackson, Mississippi (where she directed the choir for years), until retiring in 1992. She is also preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Nannie Hudson Rogers. She is survived by her brother Edward Higgs of Monroe, LA; her daughter Deborah Wilson and partner Penny Sullivan of Russellville, AR; her son Rev. Bryan D. Wilson and wife Lynette of Jackson, MS; two grandsons, Bryan David Wilson II, wife Codie, and daughter Dakota, of Cleveland, TN; and Brett Lee Wilson, wife Courtney, son Ty (and expected daughter) of West Memphis, AR. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. The funeral service will be in Jackson, MS, at 11:00 on Thursday, March 26, at Southside Assembly of God with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church.
