Mr. Henry Oliver Beard

Henry Oliver Beard, 91, passed away at Mississippi Veterans Hospital on April 8, 2014. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Graveside service will be Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:00am at Bevil Hill Cemetery in Louisville, MS. Mr. Beard was born in Louisville, MS on October 18, 1922. He loved life, gardening, fishing and hunting. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a longtime employee of The W.T. May Company. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Clytee; second wife, Eddie Mae; son, Billy Ray Beard, and step-daughter, Judy Gros. He is survived by daughters, Peggy (Tommy) Harris of Harrisville, MS; Paula (Glenn) Renfroe of Jackson, MS; Step-daughter, Dawna Davis of Shelby, NC; Stepsons, Tony (Sheri) Dority of Florence, MS; Thomas Clyde (Dolly) Dority of Kaufman, TX, Alan Gros of McCurtain, OK, also 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
