Hilda Patterson Havens

Hilda Patterson Havens entered her Heavenly home on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in Jackson, MS. She was 69 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time for the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Interment will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS.

Mrs. Hilda was born on December 18, 1953, to William Buford and Louise Stutsy Patterson in Clarksdale, MS. She married Wayne Havens on February 2, 1974. He was the “Love of her Life” for 49 years. They lived in Florence and were members of First Baptist Church of Richland. She loved her church family. Outside of Jesus, she loved her family, and they were her priority. Hilda was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She made their house a Home. She was the kindest spirited woman you could ever meet. She was caring, compassionate, the glue that held the family together, a true prayer warrior, and was always looking to serve others. To know her was to love her and she exemplified the traits of Christ every day. She will truly be missed.

Hilda is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Willie “Sonny” Patterson, Wendall Patterson and James Glen Patterson. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Havens of Florence; son, Brice Havens (Autumn) of Byhalia, MS; daughter, Natalie Bradshaw (Tyler) of Florence, MS and grandchildren, Caleb, and Noah Bradshaw.
