Howard (Mack) McAlpin

Howard H. (Mack) McAlpin, 89, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 30, 2009 in Raymond. Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday, November 1, 2009 and 9-10am Monday, November 2, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral Services will begin at 10am Monday followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.\ \ Mr. McAlpin was born in Smith County, MS on December 30, 1919. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and owner of Mack's Auto Sales for many years in Jackson. . Mr. McAlpin was a member of Crystal Springs Church of Christ and was involved in the prison ministry at the Hinds County Penal Farm in Raymond. \ \ He is preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Diane McAlpin.\ \ Survivors include his wife Helen McAlpin of Raymond; son, Ron McAlpin and wife Donna of Madison; brothers, Carl McAlpin of Crystal Springs and Herman McAlpin of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Todd McAlpin and wife Brandi of Madison, Patrick McAlpin and wife Christina of Ridgeland and Roxi McAlpin of Madison; great grandchildren, Amber and Chase McAlpin; many nieces and nephews and extended family.\ \ He was adored and loved by all. \
