Hoyt Edwin Chamblee, 90 years old, passed away on May 11, 2024, in Byram, MS. He was born on July 18, 1933, Fulton, MS to Harlon Grady Chamblee and Beulah Ray Anthony Chamblee. Mr. Chamblee served his country as a US Army veteran. He was also a proud graduate of Memphis State University. He was a dedicated accountant for over 6 decades in business for himself.
Throughout his life, Hoyt cherished his time as a member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon and found solace in his faith. He leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
Hoyt is survived by his two sons, Gary Chamblee and Ken Chamblee (Ellen); stepdaughter, Melora Basye; brother, Don Chamblee (Diana); grandchildren Robert Todd Chamblee, Michael Anthony Chamblee, and Nancy Chamblee "Christy" Herrod (W.T.).
He is preceded in death by the mother of his children and first wife, Martha Elanor Madura; his second wife, Peggy Sue Chamblee; his parents; and his brother, Wayne Chamblee.
Hoyt Edwin Chamblee's commitment to his work, his service to his country, and his love for his family will forever be cherished and remembered.
