Mrs. Imogene P. Vinson

Mrs. Imogene P. Vinson, 87, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10:00AM until the 12:00 noon funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd. in Jackson. Mrs. Vinson was born on July 6, 1931 in Stewart, MS to the late Johnson and Bessie Peacock. She attended church at Riggs Manor where she had many friends. Imogene enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles with her friends, enjoyed her yard, especially the flowers and absolutely loved being with her family and friends. Mrs. Vinson is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Archie B. Vinson, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Sue Phillips of Brandon and Penny Barrentine of Byram, her sister Norma Yelveron of Magee, grandsons Kevin Phillips, Andy Phillips, Justin Phillips, Blake Dunaway and Drew Barrentine, and great grandchildren Lanie Phillips, Logan Phillips, Colton Phillips, and Camden Phillips. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
