Mrs. Irene G. Massingill

Irene G. Massingill, 95, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 following complications resulting from a recent fall. Mrs. Massingill was born on March 23, 1921 in Dry Prong, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Choice Massingill. Her survivors include her children: Linda (S.E.) McDaniel, Melissa (Jim) Fiero, and Fred (Sue) Massingill; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a receiving of friends at 9:00am on Saturday, April 16 followed by a 9:30am funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. A private family graveside service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Forest Hill United Methodist Church or the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.
