Mr. Jack D. Brown

Jack Duane Brown, 73, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 5-8pm and Friday, March 22, 10-11am at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will begin at 11am Friday in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. Brown was born in Jackson, MS to the late Harmon and Willie Mae Gorday Brown. Growing up in South Jackson, he graduated from Forest Hill High School and Mississippi College. He retired from MS Employment Security Commission and was actively involved with MS Street Rod Association. Mr. Brown was a longtime member of Epworth UMC and attended Springridge UMC. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Charlotte Brown. Survivors include his daughters Karen Goodson of Byram and Kathy Purser (Tommy) of Crystal Springs; sister Dot Ellis of Madison; grandchildren Josh Head, Ashley Goodson and Natalie & Eli Scurlock.
