Jack Winterstein

Jack Doster Winterstein, CMSGT, MS Air National Guard, Retired, and lifelong resident of Mississippi, passed away at home on August 17, 2011 with his family present. Visitation will be Friday, August 19th from 5-8 pm and Saturday, August 20th from 1pm until the 2pm service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Briar Hill Baptist Church.\ \ Mr. Winterstein served seven years in the United States Air force in the 97th and 11th Bomb Wings. He retired after serving thirty years with the Mississippi Air National Guard, completing his career as Propulsion Chief. He enjoyed gardening and shared the fruits of his labors with everyone. He was a member of Briar Hill Baptist Church and was a generous and loving man who will be missed. \ \ He is survived by his wife, Dolores Thompson Winterstein; Daughter, Rebecca Winterstein Kramer, and granddaughter, Rebecca Guion Kramer all of Florence.\
