Mr. Jacob "Shawn" Stafford Pittman

Mr. Jacob Stafford “Shawn” Pittman 77, passed from this life on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at his home in Florence, MS. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence on Monday, November 19th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a chapel service on Tuesday, November 20 at 2:00 PM. Shawn lived in Jackson most of his life, moving to Florence in 2007. He was a member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Florence. Shawn was a beloved son, brother, husband and father. He was “a man of few words”, however, his love for his family was always evident by his devotion to them. His love and passion for playing his guitars was contagious. He worked as an Operations Coordinator for Entergy Corporation over 30 years. Mr. Pittman was preceded in death by his father, Jeremiah Hall Pittman; his mother, Gertrude Murray; his brother, Jerry Pittman; and sister, Lucille Barber. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tammie Pittman; fur baby, Snuggles of Florence; by his children; daughter, Mashawna Pittman(Chris) of Brandon, MS; son, Matt Pittman (Nikki) of Florence, MS; son, Stan Pittman of Natchez, MS; son, Jay Pittman (Dean) of Vidalia, GA; daughter, Rita Branan (Larry) of Senoia, GA; daughter, Tammy LaBonty (Andrew) of Cape Elizabeth, ME; grandchildren, Jacob Pittman, Nathan Poole, Nicholas Branon, Christopher Pittman, Gabe Pittman, Garrett “Pete” Pittman, Caitlyn McLain, Caleigh Pittman, Cody LaBonty, Connor LaBonty, and Lynleigh Brooks “Sunshine” Pittman; and six great grandchildren that he loved with his whole heart.
